Door re-hang or alignment: $120–$250
Sagging doors that won't latch, doors rubbing the jamb, doors that swing open or shut on their own — all hinge-and-shim adjustments. Most common door problem; usually fixed in 60 minutes.
Lock or deadbolt replacement: $95–$200
Worn-out locksets, security upgrades (basic deadbolt to keypad or smart lock), rekey or replace after lost keys. Includes new strike plate alignment.
Window screen repair (per screen): $45–$120
Replacing torn mesh in existing frames, or full frame replacement. Aluminum vs. fiberglass mesh; fiberglass is more common in residential and softer to the touch.
Weather stripping (per door): $75–$175
Replacing compressed, torn, or missing perimeter weather stripping. Includes door sweep at the bottom. Real heating bill savings in older NJ homes.
Storm door install: $200–$400
Mounting a homeowner-supplied storm door — drilling mounting holes, hinge alignment, closer adjustment. Adding to a house that doesn't have one yet is standard install territory.
Window operability / sash repair (older wood windows): Quote on scope
Old wood double-hung windows with broken sash cords, loose glazing putty, sticking sashes — all repairable. We rebuild rope-and-pulley balances and reset stuck sashes for far less than new-window install.
Sliding patio door track repair: $150–$350
Bent tracks, worn rollers, doors off the rails. Most patio doors are repairable without replacement. We carry common roller assemblies and adjustment tools.
